Group lessons
Small group singing lessons are fun, communal and motivating. Sharing a singing lesson with others gives a different perspective on learning than individual singing lessons. A happy and encouraging atmosphere is created in the groups, where everyone can easily use their voice.
The size of the groups is 4–6 people. Each group meets 12 times during the semester. Group tutoring can also be carried out with a smaller number of participants by adjusting the number of hours.
Group instruction for the fall semester begins in week 36 and group instruction for the spring semester begins in week 5.
We use the principle of continuous registration and the group is formed as soon as there is a minimum number of interested people.

The Puppini Sisters, Rajaton, Pentatonix… or someone else?
Come join the new vocal ensemble being established at the Singing School!
The group focuses on singing polyphonic and/or duet songs and at the same time develops voice singing skills. The ear and voice are trained to pay attention to all the things that singing in a vocal ensemble requires. A good mood and guided vocal warm-ups crown the training!
Singers of all levels are welcome – we proceed according to the group.
Mondays 7:30 PM-8:30 PM
The teacher is Johanna Kyykoski, who has toured the world for ten years with the vocal ensemble Tuulettare. She has experience in both international A Cappella competitions and big stages: She knows how to make voices sound together.
Youth musical workshop for 13-16 year olds
In this course, you will be able to sing songs from your favorite musicals under the guidance of an inspiring and professional teacher and learn about ensemble singing and interpretation. The most important thing in group lessons is to maintain your singing enthusiasm and learn about singing techniques in a safe environment. The group's teaching content is tailored to the level and interests of each group.

Adult pop songs – beginners group
Are you interested in singing light music, but need a little encouragement to get started? This course is just for you. The course introduces and practices pop/jazz songs and light music singing techniques both in a group and alone in a safe atmosphere and with a good mood. This low-threshold course can be the first steps on your own singing path. Welcome!

The song is refreshing - group
This group has fun with evergreen hits and the most beautiful songs. Each time, we start with voice exercises, after which we delve deeper into the songs. The group sings both together and possibly solo. The goals are planned according to the students, and the repertoire is put together by listening to the wishes of the group. The group is intended for people over 60 years old. Welcome to join us!

Singing with children - group
Children's group classes sing wonderful children's songs and focus on relaxed voice use, good singing position, clear lyrics and most importantly, the joy of singing! Songs are chosen to be age-appropriate. Thursday's group starts in week 35.

Thursdays for 9-10 year olds at 4:00 PM-4:30 PM

A journey into polyphonic songs
We practice singing polyphonic arrangements from folk songs to evergreens. We start with the easiest canon songs and two-part songs and progress to more challenging ones as our skills grow and develop. We also practice the basics of free voice use and singing technique. The content and pace of the lessons are structured taking into account the wishes of the group.

Songwriting group
Have you ever wondered what it's like to write a song? If your answer is yes, this group is just for you! Come join us to find your own songwriter and get to know the ingredients of a hit song through practical exercises. In the group, you will receive tools for writing a song and peer support for the journey and to complete it. According to the needs of the group, we will go through the participants' old unfinished texts and create new lyrics from scratch. Along the way, we will also approach the composition process of the texts. Make your own voice heard in a supportive atmosphere and jump into singing your own song! Free voice – a group for beginners and thrill seekers
Welcome to get to know your own voice and enjoy singing together in a relaxed and safe atmosphere! In this low-threshold group, we start from the very basics, getting to know our own instrument in a gentle and accepting way. We explore and seek a free and resonant voice that comes from deep within us through expressive exercises. We go through, among other things, breathing technique, good singing posture, body alignment, resonance and articulation. We sing songs by ear, so the ability to read music is not necessary. Together as a group, we ensure that the joy of singing is preserved in what we do and that everyone can trust and dare – to enjoy the good power of the voice! Improv singing group
“Improvising is live inspiration, something happening at that very moment. Do not fear mistakes. There are none.” – Miles Davis Musiikin syvimmässä olemuksessa on kyky kuunnella ja elää hetkessä. Tällä kurssilla otamme nämä taidot haltuun yhdessä ja erikseen laulu työkalunamme! Tutkimme erilaisten harjoitteiden kautta äänen ja improvisaation moninaisuutta, leikkimielisyyttä unohtamatta. Turvallisessa ja toinen toistaan tukevassa ilmapiirissä rohkaistaan osallistujia monipuoliseen äänenkäyttämiseen ja hetkessä heittäytymiseen. Tule mukaan leikkiin, jota kutsumme musiikiksi! Tällä kurssilla käymme yhdessä läpi sekä ikonisia iskelmiä & laulelmia eri aikakausilta että oppilaiden omia toivekappaleita. Ääniharjoitukset ja osan kappaleista laulamme yhdessä, lisäksi omia sooloja ryhmän toiveiden mukaan. Rentoa meininkiä kivan musiikin parissa!
